A recent survey by YouGov confirmed that when it comes to the dividing up of an estate, money is by far the biggest sticking point for families with 35% of all arguments being over cash. The survey found that one in five (20%) thought that the estate was divided unfairly, 12% felt that they deserved more cash, while 5% contested that they were verbally promised an item that was not later left to them.
To minimise the risk of these problems it is important that you obtain good legal advice on Wills & Tax Planning. Whilst arranging your affairs it is also advisable that you consider a Lasting Power of Attorney.
